This is the layout for the van that is too short for a two-metre fixed bed and too narrow to lie across. The platform spans the full load width at the rear and costs only 1,600 mm by day; in the evening you pull the base forward and have 2,050 mm of sleeping length along the van. Below it sits a full-width garage whose height you set yourself. Ahead of it: an 860 mm galley and a tall cupboard.

Who it is for

Anyone with a Sprinter, Crafter or Transit of around 3.30 m load length who is taller than their van is wide. This is the only layout that gets over two metres of sleeping length out of that.
